History
Krist Raja Hospital was started in 1974. When we started our service here, people were very poor and speaking the tribal language Santali in the villages and the town. Literacy level was very low. Sisters started a small dispensary on the veranda of the presbytery. As the years went by the existing dispensary was found inadequate to meet all the medical needs of the people. In the year 1993, Fr. Varghese Azhakath, the then Parish Priest of Godda got the ground floor of the Hospital constructed and the society constructed first floor of the present hospital. According to the need of the people we have changed our dispensary in to a 50 bedded Hospital. In the year 1996, with the arrival of Sr. Dr. Josia a steady growth and development of the hospital took place and opened a U.S.G. Centre in 1997. It was registered in the year 2006. In 2019 Sr Dr Geo joined in the hospital as the Gynecologist and continue to render her service.
Alert and responsive to the signs of the times, the hospital endeavors to respond to the various health needs of the community.
