About Us

KristRaja School of Nursing, Godda is an institution recognised by Indian Nursing
Council(INC) and Jharkhand Nurses Registration Council (JNRC) offering ANM
programme.
Krist Raja School of Nursing is a unit of Hazaribag Carmel Society, owned by
Congregation of Mother of Carmel [CMC]. The Hazaribag Carmel Society is a religious
& Charitable Society registered under the society’s registration Act 21. 1860 (Ranchi
Amendment) no 209, 2005 -2006.
The main objective of the nursing school is to render quality nursing education.The
institution offers innovative learning approach through classroom teaching with the help
of modern technology and clinical teaching with a vision to prepare health workers with
perfect knowledge, right attitude and accurate skill to work in under-developed and
developing areas. The students get exposure to the real world of caringin the parent
hospital – KristRaja Health Centre, Sadar hospital Godda and in the community

fieldsinteracting with individuals sick and well.Experienced and competent faculty
provide the students with up-to-date knowledge and skill.

The Krist Raja SON is an integral part of Hazaribag Carmel society which through its diverse activities seek God in all things and work for the betterment of God’s children especially women and children

The School of Nursing transforms lives by promoting health and the quality of health care. It aims at creation of a healthy societyby enabling its members especially the tribals and downtrodden to take care of their health needs with professionalism and dedication.

The faculty believes that education is based on humanistic approaches that foster critical thinking and promote awareness of social and cultural diversity among individuals. The faculty views each student as a unique person with special talents, abilities, needs, and goals. To this end, faculty endeavour to provide an environment that assists students to realize their full potential.

The strong educational foundation enables nursing students to view the contemporary society with its various health problems and be able to respond in a creative and constructive manner for its transformation. They would practice high ethical values, and respect and promote life in any form and condition.

A society where every individual enjoys total health of mind, body and soul in a sustainable manner by means of quality health care rendered through professional health workers.

Mission

The mission of the School of Nursing is to educate nurses/health workers to enhance and improve the health and wellbeing of the people with commitment.

Objectives

·        To impart the basic skills and knowledge of professional nursing to the students for their personal and professional development so that they make their maximum contribution to society as individuals, citizens and nurses.

·        To enable students   to develop skills in nursing techniques in order to practice comprehensive nursing care.

·        To train them to administer nursing care with love and compassion, having great commitment and thus to impart the healing touch of God to the patients/clients

·        To make them conscious of the truth that it is God who heals through their nursing care – a nurse administer care but God heals

·        To help the students to identify, understand and to meet/solve the current health needs and problems of our country using the resources available to the maximum.

·        To provide a base for advanced study and specialization in nursing.

·        To develop a professional outlook, inquisitive mind and sincere approach enabling the students for continuing education, and ongoing research.

·        To prepare nurse-leaders who are competent to take up responsibility in every field of life and to give leadership in building up healthy living conditions.

·        To enable the students for team-work and to help them learn to co-operate with fellow students and others through healthy interpersonal relationship and open mindedness.

·        To help the students to gain knowledge and understanding of work in the hospitals, in the community and in the society at large.

·          To enable the students to develop confidence and ability to give health education in hospitals as well as in the community especially rural community.

·          To impart the knowledge and understanding of international code of Nursing Ethics and act accordingly.
